"Sand Beach"

Waves gently wash the famous beach in Acadia National Park. The history of Sand Beach is fascinating. It was a gift from JP Morgan to his daughter upon her marriage. It included a large tract of land that encompassed Great Head (to the left of this view) and land further in. They burned in the 1947 fire, but the intrepid explorer can see intriguing foundations and stonework.
