"Bar Harbor View"

From Cadillac Mountain, Acadia

Painting of the Bar Harbor view from Cadillac Mountain by Beth Whitney. | DowneastWatercolors.com

"Bar Harbor View" is an original watercolor painting featuring the spectacular view from Cadillac Mountain

This is probably one of the most famous views from Acadia National Park. It shows the islands in Frenchman's Bay, over to Hancock, Sorrento, and Winter Harbor. The islands near the shore of MDI are (left to right) Bar Island, Sheep Porcupine, Burnt Porcupine (with Rum Key peeping out), Long Porcupine, and Bald Porcupine (with the breakwater).

You can see this view from the Cadillac Mountain auto road or from the trails leading to the summit. It's a beautiful view.
