Acadia National Park, Maine
"Duck Brook" is an original Maine watercolor painting by Beth Whitney.
This incredibly vibrant painting shows a view of Duck Brook in the fall, just before a massive rainstorm. The blues of the sky reflect down into the water, and the gold grasses really come to life.
You can see this view on the road to the Duck Brook carriage bridge and trails in Acadia National Park. Witch Hole Pond is just over the trees.
Continue on the road and you'll come to the stone carriage bridge and parking just ahead on the left. It's a gorgeous spot that's fun to walk or bike around (a favorite with runners as well).
My Landscapes Gallery has more paintings of Acadia National Park and other scenic locations.
Watercolor on paper, 2004
Image size: 8x12" | Final size: 12x16"
$385 matted / $440 framed
This original watercolor painting includes a classic double white archival mat and FoamCor backing board. It's ready to slip into a standard 12x16" frame.
Frame options include natural hardwood or contemporary silver metal. Both look beautiful with watercolors. I may have other frames styles in stock, so check with me.
I use conservation grade, non-glare, UV Acrylite glazing instead of glass. This is lightweight and adds protection from the sun's harmful rays. Framed paintings are wired and ready to hang.
Whether you choose to buy your painting with or without a frame really depends how involved you want to be in the process. Either way, I'm happy to answer any questions and offer advice.
