"Bass Harbor Light, Left"

Mount Desert Island, Maine

Painting of Bass Harbor Lighthouse on MDI in Maine by artist Beth Whitney | DowneastWatercolors.com

"Bass Harbor Light, Left" is an original watercolor lighthouse painting by artist Beth Whitney.

This view shows the left perspective of one of Maine's most photographed lighthouses. I've rarely seen it photographed from this angle, much less painted. Located in the quiet fishing village of Bass Harbor on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, Bass Harbor is a fun place to visit. You can walk all around the lighthouse and down on the rocks.

I painted this at the same time as "Bass Harbor Light, Right" and deliberately planned the waterlines to match so that people could hang the paintings or prints together.

This original watercolor painting includes an archival double mat (white with thin blue inset) and archival backing board in a crystal clear protective closure sleeve. It's ready to slip into a standard 18x24" frame (not included).

Open edition giclee prints are available of this painting.

Paintings make thoughtful gifts to celebrate special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, or birthdays. They are also a wonderful way to remember a favorite vacation with family and friends.
