"Bass Harbor Light, Left"
Mount Desert Island, Maine
"Bass Harbor Light, Left" is an original watercolor painting by Maine artist Beth Whitney.
This view shows the left perspective of one of Maine's most photographed lighthouses. I've rarely seen it photographed from this angle, much less painted. Located in the quiet fishing village of Bass Harbor on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, Bass Harbor is a fun place to visit. You can walk all around the lighthouse and down on the rocks.
I painted this at the same time as "Bass Harbor Light, Right" and deliberately planned the waterlines to match so that people could display the paintings or prints together.
Open edition giclee prints are also available of this painting in my Etsy Shop.
You can see more original paintings of lighthouses in my Lighthouse Paintings Gallery.
Watercolor on paper | Image: 12x18"
Recommended frame size: 18x24"
This painting does not include a mat or frame (it's large enough that the mat may bend in transit). If you take it to a frame shop, they will be able to handle everything so that you end up with a finished piece perfectly suited to your decor and taste. I recommend framing to 18x14".
The original painting will be signed and dated; digital watermarks do not appear on the physical piece.
