"Blueberry Barrens Downeast"
"Blueberry Barrens Downeast" is an original Maine watercolor painting by Beth Whitney.
This painting focuses on a tall pine tree standing in the midst of vibrant blueberry barrens in Downeast, Maine. The barrens are green and blue when the blueberries are ready to be picked, but they turn fiery shades of red and burnt sienna in the fall.
You pass this road in Sullivan on your way to the Schoodic Peninsula (the quiet side of Acadia National Park with excellent surf).

Watercolor on paper | $295 matted
Image: 8x12" | Size matted: 12x16"
This original watercolor painting includes a classic double white archival mat and backing board in a crystal clear protective closure sleeve. It's ready to slip into a standard 12x16" frame (not included).
The pictures below will help you visualize the matted painting and give you ideas for choosing a frame. I recommend taking it with you when you go frame shopping so you can test drive several profiles and find one that speaks to you. This would look wonderful in a wood or pewter frame, displayed in a mudroom or laundry room for a pop of color.
