"Duck Brook Bridge"
Bar Harbor, Maine
"Duck Brook Bridge" is an original Maine watercolor painting by Beth Whitney.
The Duck Brook carriage bridge is one of the beautiful granite bridges built by John D. Rockefeller throughout Acadia National Park. There are two carriage bridges that span Duck Brook, and this is the one visible from Route 3 (aka Eden Street in Bar Harbor).
I love how the vibrant Fall foliage contrasts with the granite bridge. I took the original photo years ago and remember clinging to branches to get the shot. I'm sure the trees and shrubs have filled in a lot since then.
My Landscapes Gallery has more scenic landscape paintings.
