"Clivia Miniata"

Painting of orange and yellow clivia miniata flowers

"Clivia Miniata" is a watercolor flower portrait painting by Beth Whitney.

This watercolor painting a gorgeous clivia in blooming with 3 of the leaves providing contrast. This is my favorite houseplant because of the elegant strap-like leaves and then the burst of color when it blooms. They are so easy to grow, and will bloom readily with the right lighting conditions.  Mine have always bloomed in the summer, usually June or July (which is unusual).

Giclees are available of this in 3 sizes.  They look incredible, especially matted and framed.  These would add serious color and sunshine to a room with low light.

My Gardens Gallery has more beautiful flowers and garden paintings.

$340 matted / $400 framed

This original watercolor painting includes a classic double white archival mat and backing board. It's ready to slip into a standard 12x16" frame.

I am also happy to finish it for you in a contemporary silver metal frame with conservation grade non-glare, UV glazing.  The silver compliments watercolor so well because it looks polished without competing with the art.  Check with me for other frame options.

Purchasing the painting framed is a nice option if you're sending the painting to someone as a gift. Buying a matted painting is also wonderful because the recipient can choose the frame that suits their taste.
