"Curtis Island Light"

Camden Harbor, Maine

Watercolor painting of Curtis Island Lighthouse by Beth Whitney | Downeast Watercolors

"Curtis Island Light" is an original Maine watercolor painting by Beth Whitney.  This is a beautiful view of the Camden lighthouse with the Camden Hills in the distance.

This view of Curtis Island Light shows the wonderful red-roofed lighthouse in the late afternoon light.  The island has lupine all over in June, which adds to its perfection (I am biased!).  I took this photo at the end of a long day of sailing.  It was such a beautiful day with nary a cloud in the sky and smooth waters.

My Lighthouses Gallery has more scenic lighthouse paintings from along the coast of Maine.  I'm in the process of painting as many of them as I can.  There are 65, give or take, and they really are wonderful symbols of strength and fortitude.

This original watercolor painting includes a classic double white archival mat and backing board in a crystal clear protective closure sleeve. It's ready to slip into a standard 16x20" frame (not included).  I recommend taking it with you when you go frame shopping so you can test drive several profiles and find one that speaks to you.
