"Lighthouse Beach Roses"

Chatham, MA (Cape Cod)

Watercolor painting of Lighthouse Beach roses on Cape Cod by artist Beth Whitney | Downeast Watercolors

"Lighthouse Beach Roses" is an original Cape Cod watercolor painting by Beth Whitney.

Beautiful beach roses frame the view looking over Lighthouse Beach in Chatham, MA.  This early morning scene is so quiet and peaceful.  When I took the photo, there was only one couple walking on the beach.  You can just feel the warm sunshine already.

Chatham is one of many beautiful communities on Cape Cod.  You can drive the length of the Cape in a day with stops here and there.  The Cape Cod National Seashore is a must-see.  It goes all along to Provincetown and has beaches, trails, and loads of birds.  It feels a lot like the Outer Banks to me.  Of course, there are the iconic saltboxes and other beach cottages all over (gray shingles with white trim, please).  I love New England!

My Seascapes Gallery has more dynamic watercolor paintings of coastal Maine views.
