Purchasing & Policies
From this website
All of the paintings and prints on this website may be purchased from me directly. Just send me a message using the contact form and include the painting title, shipping address, gift message (optional), and phone number in case I have questions or you'd like me to call you.
From the shop on Etsy
All of the paintings and prints on this website are also available in the Downeast Watercolors shop on Etsy.
If you prefer not to use the Etsy platform or need time to think about making your purchase, please let me know so I can make sure no one else buys it.
Etsy has an impressive presence in the global marketplace, so this gives more people an opportunity to find and purchase my work. I personally handle every order regardless of where the purchases are made.
I use PayPal for processing payments over the web because it's extremely secure and easy. You don't need to have a PayPal account to use your credit or debit card, but if you do, you can login and proceed as usual.
I do not have access to your payment information and never receive your credit card information.
Maine residents will be charged 5.5% sales tax.
I use USPS for shipping because I find their service is fast, reliable, and the least expensive.
Paintings are wrapped in bubble wrap, then shipped in a sturdy box. Single small prints are sent in a sturdy flat photo mailer.
I generally ship within 1-2 business days, sometimes the same day. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping service and customs (if applicable).
For International orders, buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
Please let me know right away if you have any problems with your order. Items need to be shipped back to me within 10 days of delivery in their original condition (including the mat and backing board).
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and insurance. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
That being said, I hope you are extremely pleased with your purchase. I want you to love your painting or print as much as I enjoyed creating them.
